Warsaw

I have been in Warsaw now for three days and it has been very interesting. I meet my friend Becky here and we have seen the sights. We will be traveling together until the 30th and our plam is to do Warsaw, Krakow, Prague and maybe Vienna. It is also very nice to have someone else to help with the navigating amd someone to talk to over dinner.
Warsaw and Poland had a rough time during WWII. They were attacked by the Germans on September 1st ,1939 and by the middle of October Warsaw was under complete German control. The City had 1.3 nillion inhabitants at the beginning of the war and by 1945 it had lost 850,000 of its civilians and soldiers. It lost 200,000 during the failed Ghetto uprising of 1943 alone. 85% of the city and its buildings were destroyed. I will try to post pictures in the next couple of days.
