The weather

For the first three weeks of August we mostly had high temperatures of 32-33 degrees Celsius which is 90-92 F and pretty hot for a town mostly void of air conditioners. At night is getting down to 72-76 but of course night did not begin until after 10 o'clock.
And then, overnight, autumn arrived on August 27th. We went from a high of 31C (88F) on Sunday to high of 25C (75F) on Monday to a high of 20c (68) on Tuesday. Since then the temperature has not gotten above 20c and we have had a low of 8c (41F) and the highs most days is 13-15c (55-59F). Is is supposed to get down to 4C latter this week.
You gotta love it..........well I love it anyway........I am not sure everyone share my enthusiasm. I believe a lot of citizens of Yaroslavl would have preferred a few more hot weekends to finish the harvest at their Dachas while swimming in the river for R&R.
Also the sun sets 3 minutes earlier every day and rises tow minutes later. So each day in last couple of month each day is about 5 minutes shorter than the day before. And the shy and clouds are so low you can almost touch them.
