September 1st---The Day of Knowledge and The first day of school in Russia

Saturday was September the first---the first day of school in Russia for all schools and universities. This was my second chance to view the festivities at Liza's school and it was very impressive. Over 900 students and 90 new first graders--The first class of children to all be born in the 21st century. There was a great turnout of several hundred parents, relatives and guests.
